Have you ever lost someone? This could be anyone; A girlfriend, a boyfriend, a wife, a husband, a mom, a dad. Have you ever tried your hardest to do something, and then come up short? You played your heart out in that football game, but that team was too much in the end. You worked every day from 6 o’ clock in the morning to 9 o’ clock at night so that you could get that promotion that came available at your job. At the end of the day, one of your co-workers gets the job over you. These are things that can drive the sanest person insane. A broken heart has no cure. We always look for a cure. How can we make this pain go away? How can I take my mind off of that person that I lost? How can I comeback from that lost?
I am here to tell you that your life is not over. I am here to tell you that pain is the first step to success! You are not empty; you still have more left in the tank. I promise you can keep going because your pain will keep you going. That pain is going to get you through this next part. It’s easy to go through every day with your head up when everything in your life is going right. Wouldn’t that be lovely if nothing bad ever happened to us? It would be absolutely amazing, but that is not the world we live in. When life is going great, we are content, we don’t do anything because life is going perfect; how can it get better than seeing perfection everywhere.
What do people do when they are broken? They fold or they rise up? You can rise. It is okay to be angry; it is okay to be in pain; and it is okay to be broken. What you do with that pain is going to decide where your life is going from there. Put down the guns, put down the knives, and put down the razors! Life is already short enough; we need to make the most of it. What about instead of giving up, why don’t you help people who are in your situation. Be the light in someone’s darkness. I promise you are not the only one going through this. There is someone that needs you alive! If you are still on this Earth, which means someone wants you alive! This means that your work is not done. You are destined for greater!
There are many people that could have quit and given up on life, but instead they took that pain and it drove them to become some of the most inspirational stories known today. Michael Jordan got cut from his basketball team, but he didn’t quit, he went on to become arguably the greatest Basketball player ever. James Connor could have given up on life as soon as he was diagnosed with cancer, but he didn’t. He fought back and now he is the starting running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers! The last gentlemen I will mention has only one hand, but the only thing he ever wanted to do is play football. So many people told him that football was a two-handed sport. They told him he couldn’t play at the highest levels and they laughed in his face. Shaquem Griffin is now playing in the NFL at the highest level, because he used that pain as motivation!
There is always more on the other side of pain. Writers, musicians, poets, painters, and any story tellers get their material and become successful from the pain endured. Take a look at Eminem, NF, Van Gogh, Edgar Allan Poe, and there are many more. When people are in pain, it gives them a strength that they would never have known they had otherwise! I am not telling you this is going to be easy, by any stretch of the imagination!!!In the famous movie Rocky Sylvester Stallone sums it up when he says,
“Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done. Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you. You’re better than that.
I can’t promise you that this will be easy, but I can promise you that it will be worth it! Keep fighting everyone! If nobody ever tells you they love you just know that I do!
